Business Class cheap is the way to fly if you can get it.
It is indeed possible to get great deals on Business Class Airfare, it can however be an extremely time consuming affair, searching both on and offline, getting quotes, attempting to make deals and so on.
I will briefly outline a short-cut to gaining Business Class cheap before pointing you in the direction of a sure-fire strategy which will work anywhere, anytime for any airline. In fact there are many strategies and I would urge you to investigate further. But more on that later.
There are 3 primary tiers for ticket purchasing; direct from the airline, airline consolidators and travel agents.
We shall concentrate on the consolidator.
In a nutshell, the consolidator is a wholesaler who will buy the airline tickets from the airline in bulk (great opportunity to buy Business Class cheap). The airline will be the first entity to sell tickets for a specific flight, if the flight is not sold or sales are very slow the airline will pass on the remainder (or bulk thereof) to a consolidator. The consolidator can and most of them do, sell direct to the public, but they will for the most part off-load most of the tickets to travel agents.
One strategy to use then in order to secure Business Class cheap is to go directly to the consolidator. The best time is usually around 21 days before flying as it is then the airlines start getting fidgety about half-empty planes and sell unsold tickets to a consolidator. The consolidator will in turn assess his or her chance of selling them and make a decision to either sell them himself or to distribute to agents.
The strategy is simple. To have a good chance of getting Business Class Cheap, trot off to a consolidator.
